To provide a clear and concise guide for team members to configure the general settings of the company software. This SOP aims to minimize misunderstandings and errors, ensuring accurate and efficient task execution.

Key Steps

  1. Access General Settings

    • Navigate to the settings section of the software.

    • Select "General Settings."

  2. Input Company Information

    • Enter the company name.

    • Set the correct time zone.

    • Input the default company email address.

  3. Configure Roll Call Timing

    • Review the roll call rollover timing settings.

    • Adjust as necessary to ensure smooth transitions to the next person in the round-robin system.

  4. API Key Management

    • Check if an API key is required.

    • If needed, generate a new API key carefully:

      • Ensure that no existing API key is in use before generating a new one, as this will deactivate the previous key.

  5. Set Up Email Proxy

    • Update the default email address from "do not reply at dp.io" to a more recognizable company email.

    • Enter your personal email for testing purposes.

    • Click "Test Configuration" and wait for a success message (green banner).

    • Once confirmed, click "Save."

  6. Configure Disposition Strategies

    • Review the pre-built disposition strategies available (e.g., contract for deed, double close, flip, rental).

    • Remove any strategies that do not apply to your role.

    • For any new strategies:

      • Click the plus sign to add.

      • Fill in the name, description, gross revenue, and expected revenue.

  7. Company Grouping

    • If applicable, create entries for different internal companies (e.g., flipping company, rental company).

    • Provide a brief description for each company.

    • Optionally, include the address.

  8. Finalize Settings

    • Review all entries for accuracy.

    • Save all changes before exiting the settings.

Cautionary Notes

  • Be cautious when generating a new API key; ensure that it is necessary to avoid disrupting existing integrations.

  • Always test email configurations before saving to ensure notifications are sent correctly.

  • When removing disposition strategies, ensure that they are not currently in use to avoid data loss.
